Join a leading global mobile operator at the forefront of telecommunications innovation. We are currently seeking an experienced IP Design Consultant to join our clients team on an initial 6-month contract for a long-term program.

• Duration: 6 months (Scope for extension)

• Commencement Date - ASAP
• Daily Rate: £450 - £500
• Determination: Inside IR35

Role Overview:

As an IP Design Consultant, you will play a pivotal role within their Design team, providing technical expertise in Network Architecture. You will be responsible for offering escalation support for complex issues and addressing inherent design concerns as necessary.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor performance data, execute maintenance plans, and drive improvement initiatives within defined metrics.
• Rectify approved design weaknesses and authorize designs affecting security infrastructure.
• Testing Supervision: Supervise testing of significant changes in the test environment for Firewalls and other security architecture.
• Security Infrastructure Design: Design security infrastructure aligned with the security architecture/framework, encompassing Firewalls, Remote Access Solutions, and Authentication.
• Strategy Development: Develop and sustain a short/long-term strategy for network security design within our infrastructure.
• Budget Forecasting: Contribute to budget forecasting, supporting requests with well-defined business cases.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, or Experience:

• Extensive Network Experience: Extensive experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia IP MPLS networks, including Routing & Switching, ISP/Telco Experience, and Core & Backbone experience.
• TCP/IP Proficiency: Strong grasp of TCP/IP.
• Technical Expertise in Network Design: Bring technical expertise to the Network Design team, offering support for complex issues and addressing design concerns as needed
• IP Networking Technologies: Understanding of IP Networking Technologies such as Routing protocols, IT Infrastructure, and Mobile Network Infrastructure.
• Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts.
